John A. Rizzi, 84, passed absent peacefully surrounded by his family with dignity and grace on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022.  Born in Bristol, he was the son of the late Tomasso “Thomas” and Antonia “Antoinette” Rizzi.  He lived his life with religion hope and love. He taught us all the value of existence, and to delight in the little items, for one day, you will glance back again and comprehend they were the massive issues. In his young years he labored in automobile overall body repair service. John was a great handyman he could fix something.

He graduated from Goodwin Tech in New Britain, and before long immediately after, he enlisted in United States Army, serving as a armed service law enforcement officer. His son Kevin Rizzi and Theresa Calkins, and his most beloved grandson Stephen Govea of Bristol, Chris Pellerin of Bristol, and a host of nieces, nephews, and several cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Patricia Rizzi, his son John Rizzi II, and his sister Angela Donovan.   

The spouse and children would like to thank every person who stated a prayer, sent a card, or created a contact. In lieu of flowers, be sure to honor John’s memory by carrying out a random act of kindness. Funeral companies will be held on Friday, (Jan. 6, 2023) at 11:30 a.m. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Bristol, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. Burial will abide by in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
